The teaching pharmacy of our institution fulfills the general healthcare needs of the patients. Pharmacy is preparing various herbo-mineral preparations of various forms like quatha, asavas, vati, choorna, lehas and external applicants, for the benefit of hospitals and institution. Keeping in the mind, the rising graph of patients, our harmacy adopted new equipments, like pulneriser, drier etc along with classical khalvas arka yantra etc. Many more plans are to be materialised in a short span of time.

College is provided with good library with adjacent reading room which quenches the thirst of knowledge of teacher and taught, with many classical and subject related books. To update the knowledge regarding various subjects, many quality medical journals are provided. Also day to day happenings are punched out with dailies, weeklies, fortnightlies, monthlies etc. They are of different language like English, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi according to the choice of the reader.

To access the anytime development in the medical field, we also had internet facility for students and teachers.

The timing of the library is fixed in such a way that it is convenient for all students. Separate well fledged library with reading room has been allotted for proposed PG unit.

Hostel:

The college has provided the separate hostel blocks for both boys and girls. Both are situated inside the campus. Both blocks are having 3 floors each with separate, healthy mess facility. The mess provides a hygeinic and nutritions food. 24 hrs. water and electric supply are the exclusive facility for hostilities. The administration expects good discipline from the students, by following the rules and regulations.

The college hospital is running , with the facility available round the clock, to the needy, with OPDS, IPDS, males, female and VIP panchakarma theatres, special wards, and shalakya theatres which are one of its kinds in the surrounding area.

The separate OPDs for general medicine, shalya, shalakya, streeroga, prasoothi tantra, balaroga, renders a self less service to the public.

Male and female panchakarma theatres with VIP panchakarma theatre are fully functional under the guidence of specialists in a well established setup.

Hospital section is well supported by a well equipped laboratory, where all useful tests are carried out.

A well established OTS for shalyatantra and streeroga dept. are provided, where various surgical and gynecological procedures are carried out. The shalakya kaumarabritya and naturopathy with acupuncture therapy are also fully functional.

In concern with health of people, hospital is running regular and mobile health camps in the rural areas. These camps were conducted under the joint ventures of the like minded, local associations who concern for the public health. Thousands have gains benefit of such camps. Regular health units in the taluk and neighboring district will be visited by a doctor accompanied by a group of students.

1) Dept. of Siddhanta & Samhitha: Takes under it, the various subjects attributed for the academic phase.
2) Shareera rachana: Deals with human anatomy in both ayurvedic and modern aspects. The dept. has unique museum and dissection hall, with informative charts, models and preserved organs.
3) Sharirakriya: Deals with human physiology, with its own educational equipments and a laboratory to gain the knowledge regarding human body, physiology.
4) Roganidhan: Deals with eteological, pathological aspects of the diseases and is connected with various OPDS to give a strong foothold to our students regarding the subjects.
5) Dravyaguna: Deals with different herbs with their identification, properties and their usage in Ayurveda. Well planted herbal garden is an asset of this dept.
6) Swasthavritha: Deals with preventive aspects of health hazards community medicines, and also yoga and naturoscience.
7) Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana: Deals with various preparations both of herbal and mineral origin. The college provides a well equipped teaching pharmacy with a blend of old and new.
8) Agada tantra: It deals with the toxicology and medico legal aspects. the dept is provided with useful charts, preserved specimens, that makes the department, a place of knowledge instillation.
9) Kayachikitsa: The department is concerned with training the students regarding general medicine in Ayurveda. A well facilitated panchakarma theatre is an asset of this branch.
10) Shalyatantra: Deals with Ayurvedic Techniques in surgery, along with contemporary medicine.
11) Shalakya tantra: Concerned regarding ophthalmic and ENT disorders, with the aid of well set shalakya theatre.
12) Prasoothi and streeroga: Exclusive dept. dealing with diseases of female sex and also obstetrics, well furnished with minor OT.
13) Kaumar obruthya: It is the dept. of prediatrics in Ayurveda concerned with children health and disorders.

K.V.G. Ayurveda Medical College, the gem in the crown of Academy of Liberal Education, was established in the year 1996, on 18th September. It is situated in an independent, beautiful, scenery campus of Sullia, D.K. District.

The institution is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore, recognized by Govt. of Karnataka and Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.

The college offers a well fledged undergraduate course and PG course in Panchakarma, Dravyaguna and Shalyatantra. Our college provides an eminent teaching team, supported by well established and well furnished library, well organized herbal garden, well equipped pharmacy, well equipped hospital with IP & OP facility, good laboratory, panchakarma theatre (separate for males and females), minor OT, shalakya theatre, etc.

KV.G Ayurveda medical college offers bachelor degree in Ayurveda (BAMS) & Post Graduation (MD) recognized by CCIM New Delhi & Dept of Ayush (Govt of India) & Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University.
The BAMS course of 51/2 years duration & consist of the following duration:
1st prof-18 months,
2nd-18 months,
3rd-18 months &
Internship-12 months.
MD Courses are available for Panchakarma, Dravyaguna & shalyatantra.
Intake capacity: 6 seats in each subject.

Eligibility for admission for BAMS Course
1. Students seeking the admission of BAMS Course must have passed 2 year PUC or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as option &with minimum 50% marks in these subjects.
2. No Candidate shall be admitted unless he/she has completed 17 yrs of age as on 31st dec of the year of admission.
3. Students who have passed an examination other than PU Bangalore should submit Eligibility Certificate before admission issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

Eligibility for admission for MD Course
Students seeking the admission of MD Course must have passed BAMS examination from a CCIM recognised institution with 50% marks.
